Sandra Birchmore’s ex-boyfriend testified he dated a “lovely” young woman who carried profound grief and childhood trauma, telling jurors that even when she mentioned self-harm, she would always “pull through.” He also shared a chilling story of her father reportedly offering to “sell” his daughter to pay off a drug debt.

Digital forensic expert Jessica Hyde, who last year testified as a prosecution witness in the case against Karen Read, told jurors about health data collected by Birchmore’s phone and an examination of an Apple Watch she was wearing when she died.

Forensic Doctor William Smock, an expert witness for the prosecution, told jurors Tuesday, “Ms. Birchmore was the victim of a homicidal act.”
